So much has changed in so little time. I am now in Seattle. I am loving this place very much. Yesterday I took my roommate Debby over to Bainbridge Island. Debby knows a ton about Seattle and it's layout and where to find things. She has been in-valuable in getting to know Seattle and how to get around. We crossed the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry which was a gorgeous ride out over Puget Sound. We drove around some of the Washington Peninsula finding sleepy little towns that I'm not sure anyone had seen in years. We toured down highways towered over by beautiful old pine trees. Needless to say I was in awe. Everything was gorgeous.

On our way back from the peninsula we stopped in Bainbridge Island at Fay Bainbridge State Park. This is quite possibly one of the smallest State Parks I've ever been to but it's beauty was definitely necessary to preserve. It's right on the water, the beach is covered with drift-wood, shells, and smooth rocks. Just before getting back on the ferry back to Seattle we found a bakery in Bainbridge Island (formerly Winslow). We then hopped back on the ferry and had a gorgeous view of the night-time Seattle city scape.

If you can't hear it in my writing, I'm in love with this city already. I officially start my new job on Monday and I'm looking forward to it. I say officially because I actually ended up working part of the day Wednesday and the whole day Friday. I got to meet the team that I'll be working with, they seem like a great group and I look forward to collaborating with them. Kyle, the guy I'll be working with most of all, has yet to make an appearance as he's been on vacation, but I should meet him Monday.

Well I won't bore you with any more of my goings-on, just wanted to keep you updated.

So here's a brief review. I'm moving to Seattle, YAY!

In two weeks (Christmas Eve) I will work my last day for the Houston branch of Expeditors. I will celebrate Christmas by packing everything I can in to my age-inappropriate sedan and along with my best friend and current roommate I will move my life to Seattle. Since as long as I can remember I have wanted to live in the North West, near either Portland or Seattle so this dream became a reality when I went to work for Expeditors two short years ago. My District Manager committed to me that he would help me to reach this goal and the wheels were put in motion.

At the end of July I took a vacation to Seattle my companies corporate headquarters and interviewed with a few departments up there. I thankfully got one of the positions I was hoping for and was then able to start planning my transition. It's now December and things are ready and in place for me to make my move out. I've secured a home and worked on getting rid of as much stuff as I can to make this move easy.

I'm really looking forward to this road trip, a total of 40 plus or minus in a car. By the time Marty and I reach Seattle we'll probably want to kill each other. Don't worry, we're planning to try and stop to see things along the way like the world largest ball of twine, etc. We'll be sure to take pictures :-)

So I've returned from Seattle, WA. I'm in love. The city is awesome. The climate is awesome. The food is awesome. The people are awesome. Wow, I had a blast. I'll put an image gallery together soon and pour on and on about my trip. I have to get to be now though. Apparently we may have a hurricane hit tomorrow. So glad I could come back home to this.
