I'd love to watch this thing take off/land

What an absolutely awesome modern marvel. How this thing gets up in the air is beyond my comprehension. To be able to one day fly one of these would be a dream come true.

Stupid Human Tricks

So, Marty said that I needed to post on my blog my stupid human trick of the day. I woke up extremely late for work. I got to work 25 minutes late (which is pretty good for how late I woke up). Anywho, I kept feeling like my undershirt was bunched up at my shoulder. I kept trying to un-bunch it but it wouldn't go away. I finally reached under my shirt and pulled out a sock. I had been at work for 2 hours with a sock stuck between my shirt and undershirt. Needless to say, I felt like an idiot pulling out a sock and slipping it (as un-noticable as possible) in to my drawer. Anywho, consider my stupidness shared.

New Job!

So I went to my second interview for this job at Expeditors and I was offered the job! I'm just waiting for my background check to go through and then I can put in my two weeks notice at EGL YIPPIE! I'm sure the last couple of weeks at EGL will be stressful but I will endure because I'm going to a company that seems like it will be fun to work for with good benefits and all the employees seem very happy and good to work with. Anywho, wish me luck as I embark on this new path in my life

Copier down for repairs...

I always heard about people doing this and wondered if the result would happen. I guess so...

New Job?

Just last Saturday I applied for a job at Expeditors. I have applied for a job at this company before but was not hired at that time. I was called in today for an interview. I think it went quite well and was told I should be called in tomorrow for second interview. I'm really hoping to get a job with this company. I can get back in to the IT field and make a little more money as well. Anywho, keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sad

So I found out today that my parents sold our family house in the Texas Hill Country. No it wasn't my house, no I didn't make payments on it, but it was still partly mine. As a young child I helped clear the brush and prepare the land for the cabin to be built. Throughout my teen years we spent day after day or week after week at the cabin just relaxing watching the deer or the birds, sunning in the river or tubing down the rapids. No I did not own it but it was still partly mine. My parents sold the cabin with out hardly any notice to me. Actually they still haven't told me. I found out from my aunt. I literally cried today. I guess for some reason I always figured the cabin would be there. My parents at one time had planned on retiring there. I do understand and even agree with their reasons for selling. They have nearly doubled their investment in the property and would now like to find another place elsewhere. I don't know if any place will ever compare to the cabin in Concan, TX.

I guess I just wan't my cake and to eat it to.

Rest in Peace Steve Irwin

I wanted to publicly morn the loss of a fellow animal lover. Steve Irwin commonly known as "The Crocodile Hunter" died Monday after being stung in the chest by a sting ray. I along with many others will miss this asset to the wildlife community.

Summer over?

I'd hate to speak too soon but by the temperature outside this morning it almost seems that we have made it through another Houston Summer. It's a cool 72 degrees and it feels wonderful. I can only hope that this will last!

Band Name Origins

I thought this was a pretty good web page. There's many times I've said to myself. Where the hell did they come up with that band name. This website has a pretty good list of them!

Migraine Link

So I think I've figured out a link to what is causing me the morning migraines (I woke up with one again this morning). I think falling asleep with the television on is what's causing it. Three times falling asleep with the TV on = 3 days with migraines. Compulsory if not conclusive.
