Back from Seattle!

So I've returned from Seattle, WA. I'm in love. The city is awesome. The climate is awesome. The food is awesome. The people are awesome. Wow, I had a blast. I'll put an image gallery together soon and pour on and on about my trip. I have to get to be now though. Apparently we may have a hurricane hit tomorrow. So glad I could come back home to this.

Well hello again...

So...I haven't written an actual entry since...(pause for look-up) July 14th 2007. Ouch. That's just horrible, I didn't start a blog with the intention of not keeping up with it. I hope to start once again publishing my feelings to my open blog here for all to see, point, and roll their eyes at.

Where to start. Ah, yes...Life. Grab a bag of popcorn, this is going to be intense.

Kidding, honestly my life is pretty bland. I guess on one hand I like it that way, it's kind of my security blanket. I go to work, I come home, wash, rinse, repeat. I do have to admit though. I'm getting kind of tired of bland. I'm ready for some spice, I don't know exactly how much my feeble mind can take but I need something. I have the spice of a brand muffin at this point. I've determined that I would like to move to Seattle. That's a little spicy I guess. Seattle is cool, Seattle is hip. I could do cool. I can fake hip. I love Texas, but I'm ready for a change. Anyone that knows me knows that I suffer severely from ADD. I have the attention span of a squirrel. (Thus, one of the reasons I have not written in my blog recently). I've been in Houston 5 years now. The same amount of time I lived in Corpus Christi. I've reached the point that I'm ready for a change.

Since I was young I've always wanted to move to Seattle, don't ask why, I really don't know. As I've aged I've grown even more fond of the city for it's cultural diversity, musical influences, and wonderful climate. Not to mention great dining, awesome scenery, and a multitude of business opportunities. When I started at my current employer (Expeditors International) I was extremely happy to find out that our Corporate Headquarters was located in Downtown Seattle. Even more I was ecstatic to find out that the company as a whole would help me to reach any goal I set my heart on. A few months ago I expressed my thoughts of wanting to move to our corporate office to my District Manager. I left the meeting with a feeling of confidence and happiness as my District Manager supported all my decisions and gave me tips and pointers on how to obtain my goals. I have set a squishy time period of one year to one year and a half to be in Seattle. As long as I keep my goals in my sights I know I will be a citizen of the awesome city of Seattle.

Let's see, what else is going on...

Thanks to ADD and no focus I haven't really done much flying, I would still like to get m private pilots license one day I have just moved it out of my main focus for the time being. Work is great, I really enjoy my job. I handle computer support and local network administration for about 230 people in our Houston branch. My co-workers are a great group of people to work with. I have one employee that I lead that has turned out to be a great friend above being a great co-worker. We have lots of different projects that keep us busy as well as the normal day to day stuff. I've been out to Austin a few times recently to visit some of my best friends. I really like Austin and wish I could move my friends with me to Seattle. I'm rambling, my mind is a whirlwind of thoughts right now about things that are going on. Oh, I pick up my mother on Monday from the airport. She's flying in from Beijing, China. She was visiting my brother for a little more than a week there. I only got to talk to her once while she was over there but I'm sure she'll have tons of pictures and stories to tell when she get's back here.

Okay, so the rambling is getting worse, I'll ease up on my imaginary readers and let the headaches I provided subside. I hope to write more soon as more thoughts arrange themselves in some sort of pattern for mass consumption.
